About Course

Welcome to the Care Certificate

Congratulations on taking this important step in your career in health and social care.

The Care Certificate is the recognised introductory standard for everyone working in non-regulated roles across health and adult social care. Whether you are new to the sector or refreshing your knowledge, this course gives you the essential skills, knowledge and behaviours you need to provide safe, compassionate and high-quality care every single day.

What is the Care Certificate?

Developed and reviewed by Skills for Care, Health Education England and Skills for Health in 2025, the Care Certificate sets out 16 clear standards that every care worker should meet. It ensures that you and your colleagues have the same strong foundation – no matter where you work.

It is designed specifically for the non-regulated workforce (such as care assistants, support workers, healthcare assistants and many other roles). Regulated professionals like nurses, doctors and social workers already cover similar content in their professional training, so they do not need to complete the Care Certificate.

We are here to support you every step of the way.

Welcome aboard – let’s begin.
